Information Overload

This is my first post. I haven't really gotten into the web community and social networking very much, but working for an open source company has kick-started me into this. I guess I just didn't see the value in so many disjointed pieces of information floating around in the ether. I like to interface to things that make my life easier, not more complex. So now I see the value in aggregators and such. I am looking forward to seeing how I can distill a vast amount of information and activity down to a precise interface that can increase my productivity and exposure to critical information and people.
